Evening: Psalm 68; Luke 19:1-10
If
I had a penny for every person I have heard miss the point and say,
“I’m not good enough to be a Christian,” I’d be as wealthy as Zaccheus,
the tax collector. Remember him? Jesus invited himself to Zaccheus’
house. Jesus’ entire mission was to those who say, with Dante, “In the
middle of the journey of our life, I came to myself, in a dark wood,
where the direct way was lost.” Distracted or
preoccupied, our lives become self-centred. We are exactly the ones
Jesus wants to reach, with the message: “I love you. I can help.”
