Evening: Psalm 66; John 14:1-14
To
act in someone’s name is to do as they would do. Jesus told his
disciples that if they asked for anything in his name, it would be
theirs. So if you ask for something that aligns with Jesus’ way, it will
likely happen. Jonah cried out to God not to abandon him, and to
rescue him from the belly of the whale. The whale spewed Jonah up on dry
land, which suggests God will not abandon anyone. So if you are
feeling abandoned, you can be pretty sure God will get you through it if
you ask.
