Evening: Psalm 107:1-32; Mark 12:28-34
Isaiah
prophesied, 2500 years ago, that God was about to create a new heaven
and a new earth. That was just a moment ago in the 13 billion year
history since the Big Bang (like one second in 60 days). The new
creation is just beginning. St. Paul might suggest we read this
wonderful vision of the new creation with a little wine! Imagine it
being real … to love God completely, to love our fellow human beings,
and to love ourselves as we are. Fred Buechner wrote: “Sometimes
wishing is the wings the truth comes true on.”
