Evening: Psalm 68:1-20; 2 Kings 2:1-15; Revelation 5:1-14
“Do
not worry about your life.” Jesus teaches his disciples that we can
trust God.  Instead of worrying, he says, strive for God’s kingdom, and
everything else will be given to you as well.  The kingdom is where all
live in God’s ways.  We strive to realize it in our relationships with
one another.  This does not mean we build the Kingdom ourselves, but we
trust that God will help us to bring it about. It is the tender balance
of our action with God’s.  We pray, “Thy Kingdom come.”  But, being made
in God’s image, we’ll help with that.
